About This Course

Every skipper of a registered, recreation vessel, powered by a motor greater than 4.5kw is required to hold a Recreational Skipper's Ticket (RST). A commercial Certificate of Competency will not allow you to skipper a recreational vessel.

About This Course

This is a three day course aimed at Masters and Mates of Offshore and Ocean Going Vessels to comply with the International requirements under Marine Orders Part 3 and STCW. The course is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and competencies to operate as a Ship Security Officer, including: Maritime Security Policies ISPS, Security Responsibilities, Equipment, Administration and Training (inc. Techniques), Ship Security Assessment, Plan and Actions, Threat Identification, Recognition and Response, Emergency Drills and Exercises, Crime Scene Containment and Control and Restraint Techniques.

The course is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and competencies to operate as a Port Facility Security Officer. Techniques), Assessment, Plan and Actions, Threat Identification, Recognition and Response, Emergency Drills and Exercises, Crime Scene Containment and Control and Restraint Techniques.
