Boatmaster: The proposed new AMSA Boatmaster certificate anticipated to replace the Master Class 5 (MC5) certificate in 2010 will see the competencies of the Marine Engine Driver Grade II (MED2) combined under one qualification.

About This Course
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to take charge of a medical emergency on board a ship , seek assistance from shore based medical advisers and carry out medical procedures as directed from shore based medical advisers. The course is the next step up from a Senior First Aid and Remote First Aid Course and enables participants to perform minor medical procedures that could save someone's life. |
