AMSA Certificate of Safety Training – Continued Competence (STCW Refresher)

Course Summary:

The Certificate of Safety Training – Continued Competence course is aimed at Seafarers that hold an existing CoST, and meet the mandatory onboard training and experience who require continued competency under the STCW convention.

The CoST – Continued Competence course is Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) approved and is made up of two short courses as follows:

  • Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Reg VI/1 Code A-VI/1 Table A-VI/1-1)
  • Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (Basic) (STCW Reg VI/1 Code A-VI/1 Table A-VI/1-2)

Duration:
1 Day

What will you need?

  • Lunch – there is a canteen within walking distance
  • Enclosed footwear
  • Passport photograph
  • Writing materials (eg. pen, pencil) and paper

When and where is the course run?

The course is scheduled every two weeks at AMI, located at 61 Quill Way, Henderson WA.
