Marine Radio Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency (MROCP)

Course Summary:

Under the Radio Communications Act 1992, the installation and operation of marine radio equipment aboard any Australian vessel must be authorised by a licence.

The Marine Radio Operators course is aimed at a person wishing to have a basic working knowledge of a marine radio and contains marine radio procedures, emergency frequencies, types of radios, maintenance and communication etiquette.

  • Writing materials (eg. pen, pencil) and paper

When and where is the course run?

The MROCP course is run upon request for a minimum of one student at AMI, located at 61 Quill Way, Henderson WA.
