The Breathing Apparatus course is designed for those who are required to wear self contained breathing apparatus for rescue or specialist roles. This course has theoretical and practical components that the candidate must successfully complete.
The course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required to safely use and operate breathing apparatus (open circuit) in an irrespirable atmosphere.
Please note that as stated in the Australian Standard, wearers of respiratory protection are required to have a minimum level of fitness suitable for the task and meet the clearly defined facial hair requirements.

- Lunch – there is a canteen within walking distance
- Enclosed footwear
- Passport photograph
- Writing materials (eg. pen, pencil) and paper
