Recreational Skippers Ticket

About This Course

This is a one day course and consists of a ½ day practical and ½ day classroom theory. The course is designed on a set of marine safety competencies that have been agreed nationally. Every skipper of a registered, recreation vessel, powered by a motor greater than 4.5kw is required to hold a Recreational Skipper’s Ticket (RST).

Students gain the minimum knowledge and practical skills needed to operate a boat safely on the water. Individuals who hold this ticket are responsible for what happens on the boat during a voyage. The qualification meets with the WA Department of Transport requirements.
